Most of the Gay Bars in Barcelona are located close to each other in the Eixample Area (locally known as Gayxample (pron Gay-Sham-Play). It is close to the "Universitat" Metro Stop. Remember, Bars don't really get busy until 12.30 at the earliest, especially at weekends.
The tourists tend to show up early while the hot Catalan boys start arriving after 1am. Another thing to remember is that the Gay Scene in Barcelona is very integrated into mainstream living. While there is definitely a strong gay-vibe in the Eixample area, you will find gay boys and their friends in all of the trendy bars dotted across the city.

» People Eat Late... 11.30pm for dinner is the norm
» Bars get busy from 1am and close at 3/3.30am
» Clubs last into the early hours of the morning
» Afterparties such as Souvenier are big on Sunday
A city obsessed with the latest styles and fashions, today's Barcelona hot-spot can become tomorrow's after-thought. The battle for the Pink Euro is fiercely fought. The result? You will find some of the most comtemporary "fashion-conscious" designer bars tucked right next to the oldest traditional tapas bars in Barcelona.
