Barcelona Gay Pride 2021
Over 250,000 people attended Barcelona’s last Gay Pride and this year is set to be even bigger with an estimated 280,000+ attending, making it one of the biggest gay events in Barcelona.
PRIDE Barcelona takes place in the heart of the city on Avenida María Cristina, home to the world famous dancing-fountains. The mythical avenue provides the perfect backdrop for pride. The venue will become the heart of PRIDE BCN on the final Friday and Saturday of June and will have three main spaces:
On Friday, the traditional “Heels Race” will take place on Avenida María Cristina, for which no prior registration is required. At 7.30pm, the program of concerts and parties will officially begin. At 9pm, the “Barcelona Drag Race” will start, the show competition in which the best Drags will compete to be crowned as the “Queen of the Pride”.
On Saturday, international DJs play on stage together with world famous guest acts and local performers.
The Parade typically takes place on the last Saturday in June, at 5pm,
The march begins at the Parc de les Tres Xemeneies and makes its way through Paral.lel Avenue. The parade ends at María Cristina at around 7:00 p.m where the party continues late into the night.
